Remarks

An AnonymousMethod is very similar to a Lambda Expression, just with different (older) syntax, and it does NOT support implicit types for its parameters. Also, it distinguishes between having zero parameters and unspecified parameters (no parens at all). If the parameters are unspecified, the anonymous method is convertible to a delegate with any parameter list not containing out parameters. It's possible that the empty parens will be needed in some cases to prevent ambiguity, such as when resolving a method reference that is passed an anonymous method as a parameter, and multiple matches are found that have delegates with different numbers of parameters (one of them having zero).
