MemberInfoUtilGetCustomAttribute Method

Get the custom attribute with the specified name from the MemberInfo. If there are multiple attributes with the name, the first one is returned.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type MemberInfo. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
Remarks
This method must be used instead of the built-in GetCustomAttributes() call when working with reflection-only assemblies (otherwise, the custom attribute type would be instantiated, which is illegal).
