Check if the string contains the specified substring using a case-insensitive compare, returning false if the string is null.

Parameters

thisStr
Type: SystemString
The string being operated on.
subString
Type: SystemString
The sub-string being searched for.

Return Value

Type: Boolean
True if the string contains the specified substring, otherwise false.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type String. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
